Halcyon Days, a play written and directed by John William Schiffbauer, will have its first public reading on Monday June 30th at 7pm ahead of its WORLD PREMIERE in Theater for the New City's summer Dream Up Festival on August 19th. The reading will be presented at Young Playwrights, Inc., 431 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10016.
Halcyon Days is an ensemble drama about the choices people make in their lives. When Connie and Peter's marriage begins to unravel, Connie goes on an introspective quest to redefine herself, just as Peter seeks out a relationship with a mysterious woman from his past.
The cast features Ashley Arcement (Broadway's Grease), Britannie Bond (Other Months, SXSW Film Festival and BAMcinemafest), Kyle Knauf (NYIT award winner Fetes De La Nuit), Sharon Maguire (Off Season, *Winner Best Actress Long Island Int'l Film Expo 2012), Maury Miller (Armor, Ivy Film Festival official selection), and Vincent Torres(Macbeth, Classic Stage Company).
